BusinessObjects 4.0 SP05 Post Installation Issues and Resolution are provided below.
1) BI Launch Pad is not loaded properly after installation.
Below are the options we can try to recover it.
Stop tomcat server and clear everything from the folder D:/BI Platform/Tomcat6/Work/Catalina/localhost
and restart Tomcat server.Tomcat will take sometime to come up as it will recreate the application cache.
Try to login now after tomcat restarted and running normally.
2) Authentication drop down is not available after patch installation.
Resolution: It can be retained by backing up all the files in folder D:/BI Platform/Tomcat6/webapps/BOE/WEB-INF/config/custom
before patch installation and replacing the files with the back up after patch installtion.
