User Security on folders - Error (BI Platform 4.X - spanish installation)

Symptom


When attempting to view the "User Security" of a folder in the Central Management Console (CMC) web application, the following error is

displayed:

 

An server error occurred during security batch commit: Request 0 of type 44 failed with server error : Plugin Manager error:

Unable to locate the requested plugin CrystalEnterprise.ScopeBatch on the server. (FWB 00006)

 

 

Environment

 

SAP BI Platform 4.X

Windows Server (spanish installation)

 

 

 

Reproducing the issue

 

Step 1. Login to the CMC:

Step 2. Go to Folders.

 

Step 3. Right click on any folder and select 'User Security'.

Step 4. The following error ocurred:

Resolution

 

After writing a message to SAP, the problem was solved changing Windows Regional Settings from Spanish to English.

 

Please, see KBA1643541:

 

Step 1. In the Windows Control Panel, select Clock, Language and Region.

Step 2. Click Change the date, time, or number format.

Step 3. On the Formats tab, select English (United Kingdom) in the Format dropdown menu.

Step 4. On the Location tab, select United Kingdom in the Current Location dropdown menu.

Step 5. Go to Administrative tab and click the "Copy settings..." button to enable English (United Kingdom) language for all system accounts.

Step 6. Click 'Apply':

Step 7. Ensure that "Welcome screen and system accounts" and "New user accounts" checkboxes are checked. Click 'OK'.

Step 8. Click the "Change system locale" button:

Step 9. And then click 'OK' to enable English (United Kingdom) for all non-Unicode programs.

Step 10. Click "OK".

 

Step 11. Reboot the server for the changes to take place.
